In the main house of „Jaunsētas” complex you will find out not only the pub „Katrīnkrogs”, but also the hotel with well planned rooms which is located in the second floor of the building. Hotel arrangements, furniture and interior design is built and kept in taste of 17th century, when in that time there were born and grew under the control of her foster – father Ernst Gluck, Russian czarina, and Peter’s I wife, Katherina I (1684 – 1727).
For that reason you will find two LUXURY style rooms, specialy kept in 17th century style – „Peter the Great” room and „Katherina I” room. These rooms are not only equiped and designed in very tastefull style, but also have a glamourous view to Alūksne lake and its islands from the balconies of the rooms. Besides you can find also the hotel room named after the russian Count Scheremetiew. This room has a fantastic and unique view to Aluksne lake „long island” (Garā sala). The russian Count Scheremetiew was the Russian army commander fighting for strategicaly important Marienburg (Aluksne) castle.
He was very brave and clever commander and mostly due to his wisdom Marienburg castle were captured at the beginning of 18.century by Russians.
